Mehndi, or henna, is a temporary body art that lasts from 1-3 weeks.
I make my henna paste myself with only natural ingredients: ground henna leaves (Jamila brand henna powder), lemon juice, sugar, and pure essential oils including eucalyptus, lavender, and cajeput.
The natural dye in the henna stains the top layers of skin, and the design fades away as the skin exfoliates. Thicker skin, such as hands and feet, will stain darkest.
I NEVER EVER use black henna! Black henna contains PPD and can permanently scar skin!
Moonlight Mehndi is located in Frazier Park, California. I am available for parties, events, and private appointments. Area of service includes Bakersfield, Santa Clarita, and as far south as Los Angeles.
I have been practicing henna since 2003, and enjoy various forms of creative artwork including sketching, painting, woodburning, collage, zentangle, and more.
